A Species on the Move

In preparation for the launch of our "Facebook Worldwide Artist Search" I have readied a new WPMP "participating nations" page on our Worldwide Peace Marker Project website. (The link is below.) You can see all of the flags from all of the nations that are the focus of the search for artists who may complete our roster of WPMP Artist/Ambassadors.

Looking at this vast array of flags, it is amazing to consider the scale of the Worldwide Peace Marker Project. And, I would think, it becomes unavoidable to get a sense of the importance of this collaborative work of art -- the first of its kind in the history of our species.

The title work that I feature here on the blog today, "A Species on the Move" dramatizes the incredible effect behind this idea for us, humanity, as we take the first step as a species unified by a common desire to establish the ground work for "a world that future generations can sustain and a planet that can sustain future generations."

Our search for artists to represent each of the nations listed on the "participating nations" page is a wonderful exercise of the power of social media. And, it is a power that you can exercise with just a few clicks.

Planet Earth 2.0 is a growing reality as much as it is a state of mind in which you, like the personage depicted in today's illustration, can feel the power of unification without losing individual identity while being conscious of the global effect you can have in the outcome.

If you look closer at the illustration, the figure is made from all of the flags from all of the nations participating in WPMP. He, or she, embodies all of their colors and meanings, their identities, their distinction, their cultural roots and the character of their home lands.

I hope you take a moment to look more closely at it, as you are one of the first humans to see images of ideas that embody the spirit of a new world.

We all know the state of the world we are in. We also know that unless we can see for ourselves that we can work together as a species we will never get anything done in time to make a difference.

The facebook Worldwide Artist Search is something we can all do together that will produce real results in a new world that is real because you are.

We will continue to share more details in the days to come as we set the stage to find one artist from each of the nations representing the entire human community.

It is our first step as a species to create the spirit of unity that will define a new kind of world peace on Planet Earth 2.0.
